Daylight Saving Time, Its History and Why We Use It – information on why we save daylight, the history of Daylight Savings Time, and when it starts and stops each year between 1990 and 2004.

Earth Calendar – A daybook of holidays and celebrations around the world. Holidays are listed by date, country, and religion.

Horology – The science of time, timekeepers (watches, clocks) and timekeeping.

How Radio-Controlled Clocks Work – By now, you have probably seen or own a radio-controlled clock. These clocks are sold in all forms: as wall clocks, desk clocks, travel alarms, and wristwatches. They have a tremendous advantage over conventional clocks, they are always right! When working properly, radio-controlled clocks always display the correct time, down to the exact second. NIST Time and Frequency Division Hompage – develops and operates standards of time and frequency

Number of Days Between Dates – Calculate the number of days between two dates.

Official U.S. Time – National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Sun and Moon Data for One Day – obtain the times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, transits of the Sun and Moon, and the beginning and end of civil twilight, along with information on the Moon’s phase.

Sunrise/Sunset Computation

The Third Millennium – The end of the second millennium and the beginning of the third will be reached on January 1, 2001. This date is based on the now globally recognized Gregorian calendar, the initial epoch of which was established by the sixth-century scholar Dionysius Exiguus, who was compiling a table of dates of Easter. Rather than starting with the year zero, years in this calendar begin with the date January 1, 1 Anno Domini (AD). Consequently, the Third Millennium does not begin until January 1, 2001 AD.
